Visual poem created from a deconstructed Roundup® herbicide instruction booklet.
I uploaded a pdf of Monsanto’s Roundup® instruction booklet into an optimal character recognition (OCR) software program to convert into an editable Word document. The converted file, which should have matched the original text, was full of glitches and errors. I used the unexpected visuals as a template to reconstruct the text into an 11-piece visual poem.
